1. Dandruff

Dandruff is basically a fungus that grows in your hair. Naturally, the fungi are present, but it doesn’t show its presence unless it is in excess of quantities. This fungus helps your scalp to shed old, dead skin. Dandruff or those white flakes you see in your hair is a condition caused due to overgrowth of this fungus. Dandruff may also be caused due to a dry scalp and over-shampooing. Shift to a mild mint anti-dandruff shampoo. Usually, after one or two months, your anti-dandruff shampoo will not be able to help since your scalp becomes immune to it. So keep shifting to different anti-dandruff shampoos which are chemical-free. Natural shampoos are very effective for the scalp as well. They will itch your scalp and kill the fungus.

Dandruff may be caused to excessive dryness. Soothe your scalp with some hot oil treatment. Heat adequate amounts of olive, almond, and coconut oil and rub it through your scalp thoroughly. This will nourish your scalp. You may also add salt to your oil and rub it into your scalp to kill the fungi and get rid of dandruff. Aspirin is said to help control dandruff. Make two aspirin tablets to complete powder and mix them in your shampoo. Leave it in for 10 minutes. Do this twice, and you will see less visible flakes within two washes. You can alternatively use baking soda or neem on your hair to control dandruff too.

2. Hair fall

Causes of hair fall are many. The use of excessive styling products on hair, straightening and curling, or blow-drying frequently are some of the many reasons why heavy hair falls in this generation. Other causes like pollution, sun damage, combing and styling, wrong food habits cause more damage to the hair. The damage cannot be undone, but you can prevent your hair from getting to worse conditions. If hair fall is due to dry hair, then use aloe vera gel. It has nourishing properties and gives the hair root strength to withstand. This gel can be directly rubbed into the scalp, and you will not only find an end to hair breakage but also shining and soft hair. You can also try coconut milk. It has tissue repairing properties absorbed by the scalp easily and can help your hair grow stronger and get nourished. All you have to do is crush some coconut, grind it and press hard to release the coconut milk. It is very healthy if taken in the diet too. You will be able to see a vital difference in your hair after applying this on your hair for two weeks.

These remedies are the best available in natural treatments and work differently on different people. Choose the ones that your hair reacts best to. Do not override your expectations. You have done the damage, and you have lost hair, so these remedies can’t be getting you back all the lost hair but surely will undo a considerable part of the damage done.

Remember that whatever your hair problem might be, do not hesitate to wash your hair twice a week. Often due to hair fall and dandruff, scared that there will be a lot of hair loss, people avoid washing their hair too often. But let the hair go. It won’t stay by not washing your hair. It is only going to make your scalp condition worse by secreting excess oils and clumping dead cells. Your hair requires three essentials – proteinaceous food, nourishment, cleansing, and moisturization.
